Ally Fallon is an author, ghostwriter, and book coach, which means she is exquisitely qualified to share tips on writing your story.
It doesn't matter if you plan to publish the story you want to tell, or just need to get it out onto the page for yourself, the insight she shares in this episode is so valuable. I also love following Ally on IG and have pointed my own journaling students towards her book The Power of Writing It Down.
Her new book is called Write Your Story: A Simple Framework to Understand Yourself, Your Story, and Your Purpose in the World and it's out now!

I have been following Myquillyn Smith's home decor advice online for years and am so happy to welcome her back to the show to talk about her new book HOUSE RULES.
This new book from Myquillyn (aka The Nester) is not only gorgeous, it just lays it out bare in list form: these are the "rules" to create a space you love and want to be in.
In our conversation here, we talk about our favorite house rules and I also ask her to dive deeper into some of the rules I didn't fully understand.

Introducing a new series of the podcast called ONE THING where I host conversations with interesting people and ask the ONE THING they would tell you.
I'm kicking the series off with my friend Amy B. Harris. Amy has been a producer, writer, and show runner on some of the most iconic shows of our lifetime. Her credits include Sex and the City, Gossip Girl, The Comeback, The Carrie Diaries, The Wilds, and more. She's also a mom raising her daughter in Hollywood, which is how we met and became friends.
My conversation with Amy is packed with wisdom and insight, along with her behind-the-scenes perspective on helping to create entertainment that shifts the culture.

Ep 200: What's the ONE thing you would tell?
Childhood, Boyhood, and Youth by Leo Tolstoy

Emotions like anger, fear, and anxiety are often rooted in a feeling of helplessness.
These feelings may or may not be tied to facts that are hard to ignore or release, or they be feelings that are holding us back from walking down our best path.
But today we're asking: What feels out of control?

Maybe it was a weird conversation or an offhand remark or a comment on a social media post, but whatever happened, you're spinning out. This circumstance has tapped into all of your securities and now you're filled with self-doubt or anger or unworthiness.
How do you recenter yourself? I'm going to share 5 ways I've learned to quiet my mind amid chaos and guess what - I am NOT recommending journaling or meditation. I love both of those things (and they can be helpful), but I want to give you a few new tools to consider when you're having one of those days.
