362: Shake It Up: How Vibration Plates Improve Blood Flow and Mobility

In this episode prompted by a listener question, Doctor Motley breaks down the healing power of vibrational plates and their potential to improve blood flow and help improve the body’s energy. • How Vibration Plates Work

Vibration plates are devices that produce rapid movements, causing your muscles to contract and relax multiple times per second. This technology, known as Whole Body Vibration (WBV), is used in fitness and rehabilitation to enhance muscle strength, improve balance, and boost circulation.

    • Impact on the Lymphatic System:

The lymphatic system is crucial for removing waste and toxins from the body. Unlike the circulatory system, it doesn't have a central pump like the heart and relies on muscle movements to transport lymph fluid. Using a vibration plate can stimulate muscle contractions, promoting lymphatic drainage and enhancing circulation. This process helps in detoxification and supports the immune system.

In TCM, health is maintained by the harmonious flow of Qi (vital energy) and blood throughout the body. Practices that enhance circulation and energy flow support overall health.

Vibration therapy aligns with these principles by stimulating muscle activity and improving blood and lymph circulation,  promoting the smooth flow of Qi and blood.
